Connecting your Wi-Fi Thermostat to Wi-Fi
In order to participate in PeakRewardsSM and get the most benefit out of your ecobee3 lite Wi-Fi thermostat, your thermostat must be registered and connected to your home’s secure Wi-Fi network. Please note that hot spots are not eligible. To learn more about the requirements of PeakRewards, review the program terms and conditions.
Follow the steps below to connect your thermostat to your secure, in-home Wi-Fi network.
On the thermostat, tap on the MAIN MENU > SETTINGS > WIFI to open the Wi-Fi configuration screen.
On this screen, make sure Wi-Fi Radio is Enabled and tap on
You will have the choice of using an iOS device or manually selecting your Wi-Fi network. If you do not have an iOS device, tap on Select Wi-Fi Network.
Find your Wi-Fi name on the list provided. If are installing an ecobee3, ecobee3 lite, or an ecobee4and you have a dual-band network, be sure to select the 4Ghz network from the list. This condition will not apply to the SmartThermostat with Voice as this model is dual-band compatible.
Type in your Wi-Fi Password and hit Connect.
Wait for the ecobee to show the success message and hit OK to finish the process.
