1. What is PeakRewards℠ Online Access?

PeakRewards Online Access is a useful tool that gives customers access to key program features, including thermostat scheduling or viewing your cycling status, on your mobile device. Simple, user-friendly tools allow participants to:

  • Manage thermostat settings
  • Create thermostat schedules
  • View cycling status
  • Schedule overrides

2. How do I login for PeakRewards Online Access?
  1. Go to BGE.com on your mobile device
  2. Select My Account
  3. Log into your BGE.com account
  4. Select Programs
  5. Select PeakRewards

If you are not enrolled in PeakRewards, PeakRewards will not appear in the "My Programs" section.

BGE is not responsible for the thermostat settings and schedules, which are chosen by the customer. BGE cannot guarantee the information transmitted will change the setting due to atmospheric conditions and/or weak signaling strength in certain areas.

3. How do I set and save a thermostat schedule?
To set the thermostat schedule, select the device that you would like to create a schedule for.
  1. From the “PeakRewards Online Access” Home page, select “Program Thermostat Schedule”.
  2. Select the WAKE, LEAVE, RETURN or SLEEP to adjust the time and temperature for each segment of the day.
  3. Use the up and down arrows to adjust the temperature and the sliding dial to adjust your time. Once you have set the time and temperature, select continue to adjust the next segment of the day.
  4. Once you have selected a temperature and time for each segment of the day, “SAVE & SEND” to send the new schedule to your thermostat.

To set and save a thermostat schedule for a different device, return to the “PeakRewards Online Access” Home page to select a different device.

Please note: PeakRewards participants must have a PeakRewards thermostat installed in their home to set a thermostat schedule from their mobile device.

4. How do I temporarily adjust my thermostat settings?
  1. From the “PeakRewards Online Access” Home page, select “Adjust Thermostat Settings
    • The settings displayed on this screen may not represent the current settings on your thermostat. These settings represent the last change made to your thermostat through mobile or online access.
  2. Select the desired settings
  3. Select “Continue”
  4. Select “Confirm & Send”

Please Note: Any manual adjustment sent during an event will not take effect until the event has ended.

5. How do I view my cycling event status?
To view the cycling status, from the “PeakRewards Online Access” Home page select “Cycling Status”.

6. How do I schedule an override?
  1. From the “PeakRewards Online Access Home page, select the device you would like to override.
  2. Select “Override”
  3. Select “Schedule Override”
  4. Select the override date
  5. Select “Continue”
  6. Review the confirmation message, select “CONFIRM” if you agree.
    Please note:
  • Only one override can be scheduled for a future date at a time.
  • PeakRewards participants receive up to two overrides for Energy Savings Days
  • If an emergency event is started, the override will be cancelled and the Override functionality will not be available for the remainder of the day through PeakRewards Online Access.
  • Overrides scheduled during an Energy Savings Day will take effect in approximately 30 minutes. If you have a thermostat, the device will no longer display the word “Savings” once the override signal reaches the device.

7. How does the Permanent Hold feature work?
The Permanent Hold slider allows you to maintain the thermostat setting until you manually cancel this setting. When Permanent Hold is turned on, the programmed schedule is turned off and whatever temperature you set is maintained for 24 hours a day until you manually change it.

8. How do I view my scheduled overrides?
  1. From the “PeakRewards Online Access” Home page, select the device you would like to view.
  2. Select “Override”
  3. All Schedule Overrides are listed in the “Daily Active and Scheduled Overrides” section.

9. How do I cancel a scheduled override?
  1. From the “PeakRewards Online Access” Home page, select the device you would like to view.
  2. Select “Override”
  3. Select the arrow icon for the Scheduled Override.
  4. Select “CANCEL OVERRIDE”

To cancel an Active Override, please call the PeakRewards customer hotline at 1.888.309.PEAK (7325) 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST, Monday–Friday.

10. Why are some mobile features disabled?

The following PeakRewards Online Access features are unavailable during an emergency event and for the remainder of the day when an emergency event is started:

  • Override
  • Adjust Thermostat Settings
  • Program Thermostat Schedule
